Dear Friend, I love you this much. :(

Dear Friend,

As the wind blows hard against your face, as the birds start to sing lullabies, as the cats meow in every corner of your incredible ears, and as the rain plays with your hair during the rainy seasons, I would like to send my hugs and kisses through the wires of this electronic medium.

How are you today?J

It’s been ten years since we’ve lost contact. I longed to be with you again.

Remember the very first time I’ve approached you? Isn’t that you were wearing a purple dress on that Tuesday afternoon? Remember the feel of my hands when I touched yours? Isn’t that you said my hands were so hard and cranky? Remember when you sang me a local song in the school garden? Isn’t that I never let you go home not until you would teach me that song? Remember when I asked you to draw me an apple and you had drawn a heart instead?

I never lost those memories of yours in my heart.

Maybe it’s so silly to keep recalling those moments, but for me it will never be as silly as what others may perceive.

And now, here you are standing in front of me trying to make me calm.

Tell me how I can withstand your jokes. Are you trying to persuade me that it’s okay to accept that you cannot play games with me anymore? And that you cannot share me some stories I love to hear from you? How can you be so calm to tell me that you are not ill but just feeling bad? How can you tell me that you will be alright? How can you say you are ready to go through pains of medication, yet I myself cannot let you hurt? I cannot even withstand looking at you screaming in pain.

Yeah friend, you are one of my most precious wealth. And I will never be okay, knowing that you are hurting inside. So please, keep on holding on. Pagaling ka ha. L I incredibly believe that life isn’t so totally unfair so as to leave you this misery. Having an illness isn’t the end, but is the start of the growth of one’s faith to the Almighty God and the beginning of one’s hope that somehow in this life, a gift of everlasting life is waiting for those who believe in Him.

Through this letter to which I poured out my heart, I do promise to shower you with love. Isn’t that you love staring at me whenever I say, I love you? I know, it sounds crazy, but I would like to assure you that I was, I am and I will always be staying beside you to whisper how much you mean to me. I love you, friend.

                                                                                                               Lovingly Yours,
                                                                                                                     Hermy
